Manny – Special Appeal -

-Special Appeal-

Manny was saved from the Pound. His eyes were very badly infected, despite this everyday he let his carers treat them with creams and the infection cleared up. Manny then arrived at Netherlands, Kilnhurst. But it was soon apparent that there was still something wrong with his eyes so Manny was taken to the vet where we discovered that Manny has a problem called ‘Keratoconjunctivitis sicca’ or ‘dry eye’. Unfortunately this is inoperable and so advanced that Manny will progressively go blind (approx 1-2years). We hope to find a special home for Manny so that he can settle in before he goes completely blind. Until now Manny has shown himself to be a big softie with people and seems fine around other dogs. Can you offer Manny this special home that he needs? If so please contact Jeanette on 07786 292104

He loves cuddles and walks very well on a lead

    Hello Selena,
Manny is an 18month old cross breed possibly of Staffordshire Bull Terrier and American Bulldog.
He is a pleasure to walk as he doesn’t pull on the lead and has been ok around other dogs.
However, we don’t know what Manny is like around children as we have not had the opportunity to introduce him to any children.
I sincerely recommend that you contact Jeanette on 07786 292104 to organize a time to come and meet Manny to see what a lovely dog he is.

Do you know how much Manny will cost? Or how much do your dogs cost each? And how long can he be left alone for?
    Thanks, Aimee Xx

    Dear Libby and Aimee,
There is a minimum donation of a 100 pounds to adopt a ‘Rotherham’ dog?
As Manny came in as a stray, and being difficult to assess this is kennels, we cannot say how long Manny can be left alone for.
    Thanks

    Thanks for replying,
Do you think that 4-6 hours is an ok time that Manny can be left alone for? Or in your opinion, do you think thats alot of hours for him?
    Thanks x

Do you have any posts of the youngest dog you have? I would really like to adopt a young dog so that i can train it myself,

Thanks everyone for asking about Manny, he is still up for adoption. He is a lovely lad and loved by all at Netherlands. If you would like further information or would like to meet him, please give jeanette a call 07786 292104 she will answer anything you would like to know. Many thanks for caring.

Sarah, if you are wanting a very young dog, I would suggest you contact Dawn at Animal Haven, she has many young dogs and may be able to help.

    Hi,
My daughter who is 12 in September is wandering how old you have to be to volunteer to help look after some of your dogs as she really wants to help. She loves dogs so so much and we are considering soon to adopt a dog from you.
    Thanks, Fraz.

    Hi Fraz,
Thankyou to yourself and daughter for caring.
Due to your daughters age we are unable to accept her as a volanteer but if you want to come along and walk the dogs as long as your daughter does not hold a dog and due to some of our dogs being very strong and boisterious keeps a safe distance away from any dog at all times then she is welcome to come along with you.
I do hope you understand our reasoning, health and safety for all is a major factor at the Kennels and priority steps for this are taken for the good of all concerned
If you want to give Jeanette at the kennels a call and explain in regards to responsibility and that the above is adhered to, then I am sure she would welcome hearing from you.
    Thankyou again,
